Our Sagebrush Blend Hydrosol is a therapeutic plant water that contains all of the water soluble nutrients and some of the fat soluble nutrients (including trace amounts of essential oils), that are created during the essential oil distillation process, and shares many of the same properties.
Great Western Sage inhabits many arid and semi arid climates throughout Western North America from British Columbia to Mexico, while Sand Sage is native to parts of Texas, the Great Plains, and the Four Corners region of the US where it grows predominately in sandy soils between 3,000-5,000 feet. Along with a long, rich history in Native American culture and folklore, both types of sage have been used by various tribes in the past, primarily for medicinal and spiritual purposes.
The aroma of this hydrosol is distinctly familiar to anyone who has visited the West; the fragrance combines the pungent smell of Great Western Sage with the milder flavor of Sand Sage to create a scent that has clean, fresh, herbaceous top notes an earthy, warm middle range, and a deep, woody base that is slightly bitter and camphorous.

Directions: For topical use, hydrosol can be sprayed directly on the skin, or combined with other ingredients in your own DIY skincare projects such as toner or lotion. To use as a cleanser or deodorizer, spray into the air or on affected surface(s), and wipe down with a clean cloth (if necessary).
