Navajo Tea Bar Soap

Navajo Tea or Greenthread is a flowering plant that is indigenous to parts of the Southwest U.S. Growing at higher elevations in the four corners region, it has been used for generations by Native American tribes for various culinary, medicinal, and ceremonial purposes. When dried, the leaves and flowers have a mild, earthy flavor and a hint of sweetness (similar to Chamomile), and steeping them in hot water makes an excellent skin tonic, providing a gentle wash for sensitive skin.

In addition to using fresh brewed Navajo Tea to make this soap, we add lemon and lemon verbena essential oil for their cleansing properties and bright, citrus smell, Agave nectar to enhance the soap’s sweet, smoky caramel aroma and provide a nice bubbly lather, and top it off with hand-picked Navajo Tea flowers for exfoliation. The result is a pleasant smelling bar of soap, perfect for people with sensitive skin, babies, and anyone who enjoys bathing in the aura of the Southwest.
